[Seriously] Jeremy Bamber proven innocent?
« on: October 22, 2019, 06:21:PM »
Around 4am that morning. Bews along with Myall and Jeremy approach the scene till they get to the wall around 30 yards from the kitchen door.

That is the wall shown here below

Bews in his pocket book wrote the following. -

"Looking at the rear of
the house I could see
the following. ground floor
to the right of our position,
behind kitchen light on
curtains open, no signs of
life. First floor - centre -
lights on curtains drawn
closed (1) left of centre
orange curtains with light
shinning behind (2) to right
of centre green curtains
with light shining behind"

He then writes -

"We then moved to an
adjoining field to our
right. and moved to
view the side of
the house"

Their movements depicted here.

Bews then noted down the following.

_______ "1st floor
centre landing light
on. curtains open. No
signs of life. It appeared
from our positions about
30 yards from the house
that all doors and windows
were shut and secure"

Bews has stated that he can see light in the centre window. He has written landing but drawn a line through it.

This was was shortly before they all returned back to CA07 to call for armed backup around 4am.

However three hours later, PC Mildenhall visits the same location as Bew's did earlier that morning. The situation with the lights have changed. The room to the left with its window partly open (where sheila was found) now has its light on. With no mention of the centre light being on (as Bew's observed). . This was thirty minutes prior to the RAID team entering the building.

PC Mildenhall's account is corroborated by the photos taken that morning.

We can see the light bulb shining in the left window. And nothing in the centre window contrary to what Bews observed.

Now the centre room windows light does not necessarily have to have been switched off. There are two other possibilities. With the sun now up, it wont be possible to see if the light bulb is on if its not in view of the rooms window. Likewise the bulb shining in daylight would not be visible from that window if Bews initial description of it being from the landing is correct.

Which leads to the final question. How can the main bedroom light be switched off around 4am and then be switched on at 7am? To claim Bews got the wrong window is not only weak but its problematic considering that the window to the left that he observed as being dark, is the same window that he claims to have seen a reflection of the moonlight. That is only possible if the light in that room was switched off.

So who switched the light on?  ???

I'm not going to say end of story then run away. I ended this topic title with a question mark for good reason.

There's a thread on this site entitled "All lights were on.." which was comment from another PC so how does anyone know what to believe?

The lights in the main bedroom may have been on when the police arrived.

Sheila reading June's bible before switching the light off.

Why did Sheila switch the main bedroom light off before shooting herself?

The light had to be on when she was reading the bible.

The window where Bews thought he saw something isn't that window. It's the top right window on the side of the house where the kitchen is - what he called the back of the building.

Whichever side of the debate you're on how ridiculous the jury wasn't sent to White House Farm.

Go on then David, tell us who switched the light on. Unless of course they were on timers ?

Yes. The house is quite complex so it would be useful to see what the police saw.

By the way David, thank you for those pics - it's much easier to see what Bews was talking about now.

There appears to be a glaze over the box room window, a net curtain maybe? But also, we don't know where the light is situated, they aren't always in the middle. However, if the door was open in the box room, the light might have been shinning in from the landing a making it appear that the light was but as it got lighter the effect would diminish. Bews apparently (according to the logs) that reported 'all' light were on but he certainly doesn't mention that any lights were specifically off.

Huh? Isn't that a photo of the window of the main bedroom and the window of the landing?

As depicted, I've always thought of that as being the 'front' of the house.

I know. I think the confusion happens because the front - ie the "posh" bit of the house with the big white door - doesn't face Pages Lane.
