Does anybody know anything about Mr. Newby?

Only that he's been representing Jeremy for a while now and he specialises in MOJ's but I don't know much more without googling his name etc.

Bamber arrived at 3.48am. The police were already there.

Obviously very unlikely West rang Withham after getting a 3.36am call. As the police cars would have to drive very fast continuously.

Who are the CT saying made a 3.36am call?

The telex machine has police arriving at 3.48am. The location from where they passed Jeremy is literally like one minute away from the farm

He seems to have stayed the course better than previous occupants of the post.

This article says the police cars were despatched at 3.35am & arrived at 3.48am.

Jeremy must have rang Chelmsford at 3.26am.

No he rang a few mins before then. 3.26am is when Bonnet picked up the call from west.

David, I don't think they'll have overtaken him in Page's Lane, and they would have had too, if they were that close to the farm.

Just reading an article by the freelance journalist/editor Jon Robins who writes for the Justice Gap/Proof and in July of this year it appears that Mark Newby supported both Sam Hallam and Victor Nealon and is still doing regarding compensation for wrongful imprisonment. The case was taken to Strasburg. Between the two men they'd served 25 years. Mark Newby is Victor Nealon's solicitor.

West rang Witham at 3:30am. They had to then take down all the details over the phone. Get sorted and all get in the car. This took around 5 minutes.

The new "3:37am" note is said to prove the existence of the second call.

ITV announced last week a drama about the murders next year, with Freddie Fox playing Bamber, who is in Wakefield jail, West Yorks. Bamber was famously pictured with girlfriend Julie Mugford, 21, struggling to contain his grief walking behind his parents' coffins at their funeral.

How does it prove the existence of a second call? Not only has another time been scrubbed out, it also says 'approx' underneath - it's BS!

24.

The appellant's telephone call to the police 24. In the early hours of Wednesday, 7 August the appellant telephoned Chelmsford Police Station on a direct line number as opposed to the 999 emergency call system and spoke to PC West. He said, "You've got to help me. My father has just rung me and said, "Please come over. Your sister has gone crazy and has got the gun." Then the line went dead". He explained that he had tried to ring his father back at White House Farm but he could not get a reply.

25.

Using a radio link PC West contacted Malcolm Bonnet at the Chelmsford H/Q Information Room. PC West then spoke to the appellant again, who complained at the time the officer was taking. He said, "When my father rang he sounded terrified". The appellant was told to go to the farm and to wait there for the police. PC West described the appellant as sounding "very laconic" and calm during the first part of their conversation and said that there was no sense of urgency. When he spoke to him again the appellant appeared "more urgent and distressed in his manner".

26.

PC West recorded the time of the appellant's call as 3.36 a.m. At trial it was accepted that the officer had misread a digital clock. The officer's contact with Mr Bonnett was recorded as being at 3.26 a.m. and it seems clear that the appellant's call must have been at 3.26 a.m. or very shortly before.

27.

At 3.35 a.m., Mr Bonnet arranged for a police car to go to White House Farm. A check made by a British Telecom operator of the telephone line to the farm was made at 4.30 a.m. The receiver was off the hook and all the operator could hear was the sound of a dog barking.

Exactly and a few years ago Jeremy was adamant about this, accusing West of altering the log from 03:26 to 03:36. I have the document that the CT formulated detaining how they believed West perjured himself over the logs. In their argument, EP were supposed to have changed the times to make it look as though Bamber had called Julie first and he was adamant he called police around 03:20 (at that point). Now he and they are arguing the opposite to try and convince people of a call from Nevill - surely people can see that there is something very wrong here? I can't believe the legal team are going to use this and it will certainly hurt their attempts! The CCRC aren't stupid!
