After Julie found he had cheated on her, she told police Bamber had talked of hiring a hitman to kill his parents.

A blood-stained silencer was also found at the farm by Bamber's cousin.

This is utter garbage! And it reeks of the CT.

The log has an entry of 03:37 with another time scrubbed out and the word 'approx' underneath it  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D.
Yes Caroline this appears in the article. I suppose they want people (like myself) to be taken in by the front page, then bury the story on pages 4 and 5. And we have paid £1.30 for the privilege.

The new "3:37am" note is said to prove the existence of the second call.

ITV announced last week a drama about the murders next year, with Freddie Fox playing Bamber, who is in Wakefield jail, West Yorks. Bamber was famously pictured with girlfriend Julie Mugford, 21, struggling to contain his grief walking behind his parents' coffins at their funeral.

I imagine Freddie Fox will make a much more believable show of grief than did Jeremy................then again, I suppose it rather depends on whether he's playing it as someone truly grief stricken, OR someone trying to make it appear as if they are?

West rang Witham police station who despatched police cars.

Witham is over 11 miles from WHF. For the police cars to leave at 3.36am and arrive at WHF before 3.48am, they would have had to have driven over 60mph continuously.

So more likely Bamber rang Chelmsford at 3.26am.

Bamber's team say they now have evidence of two silencers examined by police, both believed to contain blood that could belong to Sheila or now-deceased Robert Boutflour.

They left Witham at 3.35am. and arrived at 3.48. Thats an average speed of 48mph

They say a forensic report has been given to the CPS about this evidence. Bamber believes police always had evidence that would have cleared him, but failed to disclose it at his trial, his first appeal in 1989 or second in 2002.

Between 2004 and 2011, Bamber made three CCRC submissions in a failed attempt to get his case back to the Court of Appeal. He has also made appeals against his whole life tariff.

Essex Police said: "There has never been anything to suggest that he was wrongly convicted." But Bamber's lawyer is now hopeful of a new appeal.

Bamber arrived at 3.48am. The police were already there.

Obviously very unlikely West rang Withham after getting a 3.36am call. As the police cars would have to drive very fast continuously.

Who are the CT saying made a 3.36am call?

Adam. there's something in my mind that's telling me that in those days Witham was where all the fast response police vehicles were garaged ie without a call from Chelmsford HQ, there'd be no fast response cars going anywhere.

Mr. Newby said: "The phone call information is consistent with what Jeremy Bamber always said. It is part of a package of evidence that should lead to a possible review for Jeremy."

"It is fair to say when we go back to the CCRC we will have a pretty strong package which we hope they will refer to the Court of Appeal. We hope we will get it across the line."

"If we do it is probably the country's greatest ever miscarriage of justice."

Does anybody know anything about Mr. Newby?
